Join me each weekend for an invigorating hour-long group fitness class at Long Leaf Park in Wilmington! This outdoor workout is designed to push your limits—expect a challenge that’s tough but worth it! This class is your chance to let out some stress, boost your energy, and build lean muscle. While this class will be a challenge, all fitness levels are welcome, as we give variations to exercises that may be difficult for some — so bring your grit and let’s get moving because what better way is there to start the weekend?


WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

We will be doing exercises that work out your core, arms, legs, glutes, shoulders, back, and everything in between. This will all be done using your own body weight, which is known as doing calisthenics. This hour long routine will incorporate functional full body exercises which will stabilize your core, increase your strength, build lean muscle, improve cardio and improve mobility.


WHERE IN THE PARK IS THE OUTDOOR CLASS?

Directions to the exact location are provided below. If entering from College Rd, once you enter the park through the main entrance take your first left and continue straight until you see the Shelter 5 sign on your left. You will see a parking lot right next to the sign. Classes will be held in the open field next to the parking lot.

HOW DO I SIGN UP AND PAY?

Signup is located above. If you want to register and pay online, click on "Buy and Schedule Class". After you checkout, you will select the date you wish to attend.

You can also save $2 by paying cash in person. Click on "PAY CASH IN PERSON" to schedule the class you want to attend, then pay in person on the day of the class.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?

Bring a yoga mat if you prefer to use it when doing some exercises on the ground.

Also bring a towel and water bottle

WHERE IN THE PARK IS THE CLASS LOCATED?

The outdoor clas is held near the Shelter 5 picnic area right next to the small parking lot. For precise directions, click on the link in the above section.

WILL THERE BE PARKING?

Yes, there is a parking lot in the area, and other parking lots in the park within walking distance.

CAN I RESCHEDULE MY CLASS AFTER I SIGNUP AND PAY?

Yes, after you sign up you will receive an email calendar invite. In that email just click on "Reschedule" to choose the date.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE CLASS GETS CANCELED DUE TO BAD WEATHER?

If you have signed up and already paid, and then the class gets canceled due to bad weather, you have two options. You can request a refund or you can reschedule your class. To request a refund due to bad weather, send a text message to 401-595-9049.

DO YOU HAVE A PERMIT TO DO THIS AT LONG LEAF PARK?

Yes, I have coordinated with New Hanover Parks and Gardens and have fulfilled their requirements to receive a permit for this outdoor group fitness class. For any questions or concerns about this, please reach out me.
